The hotel's decoration and general areas were absolutely charming and reminded me of a time gone by. It was like stepping into a cozy and inviting home. The accessibility for senior people was also excellent, with wide hallways and easy-to-navigate spaces, making it comfortable for us to move around.
It would have been even better if the children working there had been a bit more attentive and helpful. As seniors, we appreciate when staff members take the time to assist us and ensure our vacation is seamless.

We had a blast playing outdoor table tennis, badminton, and big chess with our friends. The crocket and pétanque games were also a hit! The estate had so many activities to keep us entertained and we never got bored. Plus, the location was perfect for visiting Doolhof Wine Estate and Nederburg Wines, which were totally worth it!
The only thing we wished for was a better party atmosphere for young people. It would have been awesome if there were some cool music playing by the pool or a designated area for a teen hangout.

The rooms at Oude Wellington Estate are like a cozy retreat. The premium bedding makes you feel like you're sleeping on a cloud. And having a laptop-friendly workspace is a big plus for people like me who need to get some work done during their stay.
Personally, I found the Victorian free-standing bath a bit old-fashioned. Didn't really suit my taste, but I understand some people might enjoy the charm of it.

Spent a great Xmas with my family at this charming rural retreat. Loved the beautiful and unique setting, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. Our cozy cottage was very well-equipped with everything we needed, including comfortable beds and a fully stocked kitchen. Another great aspect was the outdoor BBQ area, perfect for grilling poolside. The on-site restaurant was excellent, with seasonal and locally sourced ingredients. a wonderful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city!
There were a few downsides worth mentioning. The lack of central heating made it quite chilly, but thankfully we had plenty of blankets to keep us warm.
